I started lifting my freshman year of high school with one simple goal — to lose a little body fat. What began as an attempt to change my appearance quickly turned into something much deeper. Growing up, I was never athletic and carried extra weight for most of my life. But once I stepped into the gym, everything changed. Fitness became more than a hobby; it became my purpose. I discovered something where the results depended solely on my own discipline, dedication, and work ethic. Through years of early mornings, late nights, and countless hours in the gym — whether before or after work — I've completely transformed not just my physique, but my mindset, confidence, and outlook on life.
Lifting taught me that fulfillment doesn't come from short-term comfort, but from mastering your mind and committing to what aligns with your goals. I built strength I never imagined possible — squatting 405 pounds and bench pressing 275 for four reps, with my sights now set on 315. But the numbers only tell part of the story. The real transformation happened mentally. I learned to reject temporary pleasure for lasting growth, to fuel my body with nutrient-dense foods, and to perform at my best in every area of life. Giving my life more meaning through faith and learning to put others before myself taught me that true strength isn't just physical — it's about becoming someone who leads, serves, and inspires.
